Enjoy the extra comforts seldom offered at even the finest of lodging establishments. A carafe of sherry is in each room for that extra special nip to indulge in before you retire for the night. Sweet Dreams!

Bed Rooms:

All of our linens are ironed and the sheets are at least 250 to 450 counts per square inch. In the summer each bed is made with two top sheets. In the winter there are two blankets plus the quilt or spread.

All bedrooms have a full private bath accessed from the bedroom. The Holly room has a jetted tub.

Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, alarm clock and a hair dryer are also included for your use.
Two of our bedrooms have wood burning fireplaces and three have gas fireplaces. There is also a double sided fireplace in the dining room and keeping room.

Watch your favorite movie, on TV or DVD, in the privacy of your own room. We have a private library of DVDs that we share with guests.

Wireless internet access is available in your private bedroom as well as all of the rooms in the home.

Dining Room & Kitchen:

There are cookies in the cookie jar and either cake or pie on the table at all times. In a large basket are menus from all of our favorite restaurants. In a small black box are directions for the taking for the most common eateries. In the kitchen is a small fridge with wine, beer and soda for you to take compliments of the house.

In the dining room are kept the two maps that are given to you upon arrival. One of greater Mystic and one of the Mystic and More area.

Porches:

Captain Grant’s has a three tiered porch. The first level is set up as an outdoor dining area. The second tier is an outdoor living room and the third tier has chairs to sit in and gaze out at the hills and fields.

Living Room & Keeping Rooms:

In the keeping room a laptop computer has been set up for your use. No passwords necessary.

There are books to read, albums to peruse, newspapers to keep you in touch and POPCORN in our high standing popper. Seasonally a fire in our double sided fireplace can be started at your request .

Owners:

Ted and Carol live in the Avery house on the second and third floors. This affords our guest at Captain Grant’s the ultimate in privacy. Concierge services are offered to all of our guests. These include extra room amenities (e.g., flowers), dining reservations, directions, reduced tickets to three area attractions, and suggestions for a fun vacation tailored just for you. We are open to help our guests with any need at any time.
